Cultural Foundation "The Harpfe" was born

Innichen – The culture foundation „Die Harpfe“ was founded in June 2007. The Foundation „Die Harpfe“ wants to support South Tyrolean folk culture
Focus on traditions and everyday life of farmers in the High Pustertal valley.

"The foundation is non-partial and indipendent and will encourage and sponsor cultural initatiatives", says Gerda Senfter, a foundation member. "The focus lies on folk culture, traditions and the everyday life of the farmers from the High Pustertal valley."

The foundation plans on publishing a magazine with articles on historical subjects. Furthermore, the foundation wants to restore "Harpfen" – these are high wooden racks with a roof that were used for drying hay or wheat. Other interests include language, archeology and architecture concerning the farm life in the Tyrol region. The foundation wants to help initiaves in South, North and East Tyrol.
